Preparations are at their final stages on Salem's GS. TKC80 was the choice for his BMW. It will be great to compare both the TKC and Heidenau K60 (fitted on my GS) after our return from the Oman trip. He,like most of us, likes his coffee this is obvious in the top left of the picture 馃憠☕️. A year of preparation and planning came to a good end yesterday. Here is picture of the bikes being loaded on the flat bed to make the crossing across King Fahad Causeway to the Kingdom of Bahrain (motorcycles are not allowed to cross). This picture marks the end of our (me and Salem) introductory trip to the world of adventure, all I can say is that the group of 3 riders did a fantastic job working with each other to make this trip worth while. Preparations is key and this was very important in making this trip a pleasure to be part of. I would like to thank Salem and Johan for making this trip an enjoyable one and all who followed us here on Instagram with their kind likes on the pictures we have posted. January 17, 2015 Riding towards Salalah we decided to stay at the @parkinnduqm hotel. A recommended place to spend the night or weekend if you're visiting the area. The rooms or chalets are large and clean with all travelers needs from washing machine and dryers to free WiFi and good food. The staff are very helpful and the view was just great. January 13, 2015 Riding south passing through Sur (A coastal town on the Gulf of Oman) Johan noticed the tire was losing pressure so we decided to ride to a gas station at Ras Al Hadd to fill up and check the tire. Once all of us fueled up and did a quick tire check it was apparent that the tube needs changing but we were running late and had very little time to search for a camping location and darkness will set soon. Plan B was to ride to Al Naseem Camp take care of the tube issue which was easy as Johan was packing a new tube and the necessary tools to carry out the repairs.
